Dream11 IPL 2020 - 'Smiles & Heartbreaks'

Cricket is huge sport in India. It is one sport that unites the entire nation and brings smiles on majority of the faces. People all around the world faced a challenging scenario as the lockdown was announced for several months due to the Covid-19 pandemic. In testing times such as these, Dream11 IPL 2020 was something more than an usual T20 tournament.

The IPL was shifted into the UAE for safety purposes and although it was taking place after a very long delay the excitement was doubled. Cricket fans who long awaited the action finally got a chance to cheer for their favourite franchise, glued to their television sets at the comfort of their own houses. The Dream11 IPL 2020 was arguably one of the best IPL seasons since the beginning in 2008. All teams were extremely strong the competition went until the last league match of the tournament.

IPL is a huge platform for the talented youngsters who get an opportunity to make a name for themselves. This year was no different, we saw the likes of Devdat Padikkal, Ishan Kishan, Ravi Bishnoi and many others. Irrespective of the outcome of the tournament it brought in a lot of joy to watch these future stars set the tournament on fire.

There were few teams that showed great promise in the beginning of the tournament but eventually ended the tournament on a bad note. RCB started the campaign with a great winning streak however, lost the fuel as they ended up in the 4th position. More surprisingly CSK, one of the most successful teams in the IPL did not find any luck this year. They ended up at the bottom of the table.

Although the IPL came to end with the Mumbai Indians as the champions, the journey throughout the tournament gave a lot of joy to the population of not only India but also few other cricket playing nations as well. The IPL 2020 was a tournament filled with 'Smiles and Heartbreaks'.
