Aprameya Bharadwaj is a young versatile actor who has caught our attention with his brilliant acting skills. An interactive session with this talented young man has left us astonished. He is knowledgable and an energetic person who was happy to share his thoughts with us. Let us dive right into this interesting conversation with Apremeya.
Q.Tell us about yourself.
I'm Aprameya, a theatre practitioner and an actor. I love movies, sitcoms and SUVs.
Q.Tell us about your education and schooling.
I'm an automobile engineering graduate from Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering, I finished my 10th and 12th in Sri Vani Education Centre.
Q.Since when are you into theatre field?
I was active in the theatre as a child actor from 2004. As an adult, I'm practising theatre since 2015.
Q.Which actor/actress do you admire the most?
Dr Rajkumar is one actor I admire very much for the multitude of the talents he possesses.
Q.With whom would you like to share stage/screen with?
Sharing the stage - Naseeruddin Shah
Sharing the screen - Ananth Nag
Q.Tell us about your first theatre act.
My first theatre performance was in 2004 at the age of 6, in a play called Y3K, set in a dystopian world.
Q.If someone was going to make your life into a movie, who would play you?
I'd like Fahad Faasil to play me.
Q.Tell us about your experience in the movie ‘Savarna Deergha Sandhi’.
I was able to bag the role in Savarna Deergha Sandhi because of my work in the YouTube channel Troll Haiklu.
Initially, I was cast in a smaller role. During the workshops, the director Veerendra Shetty felt I'd suit another character better, so my role was upgraded. Filming the movie was a very interesting journey, I got to know the difference between acting on the stage and acting on the screen, and also the process of filmmaking and the enormous effort behind making a film.
Q.We have noticed that you are a part of Troll Haiklu too, tell us more about that.
I joined Troll Haiklu in 2017 as a memer. When the team decided to resume their youtube opera, the head of troll haiklu Mr Tejas, saw photos of my theatrical performance on Facebook and offered me to play a part in the sketches. That's how my journey started on youtube.
Q.What motivates you to keep working in this field?
When the world went into lockdown, many of us relied on artists, actors, musicians and various other performers to spend time. The fact we were still able to dish out content and be of help in this time. This keeps me running.
Q.What is the best advice you have been given?
"It's okay to make mistakes, just make sure you know what not to repeat."
Q.What moto/ principle do you believe in?
Karmanye Vadhikaraste Ma Phaleshu Kadachana.
Do whatever you're supposed to do without expecting a certain result.
Q.How encouraging was your family towards this?
Initially, my mother was a bit sceptical about me taking an unconventional path. Now after assuring her that I will complete my MBA, she is relieved and is very encouraging.
Q.Have you attended acting classes?
Not acting classes exactly, but I do have a diploma in theatre education.
Q.What advice would you give your juniors?
Showbiz or any kind of non-conventional careers is risky and volatile. If you really don't want a typical 9-5 job, take up a 9-5 job. Trust me, it'll always help.
Always have a backup.
Q.Lastly, what is next for you?
As I was saying, a backup is highly important. So next, I will pursue my MBA. Of course, I won't quit acting but will try to balance the two.
This sums up the interactive session with Aprameya! We wish him a great and successful future ahead. I will end this article with a thoughtful quote which tells us to live our lives in the gift of the present.
